Outside Broadcast for Live Production
Outside Broadcast, or OB, is used when a television production needs to take place outside a studio. OB facilities are commonly used for sports events, live functions, concerts and other live programmes.
An OB Van works as a mobile television production facility. Cameras, vision control, audio mixing, vision mixing and other production equipment can be brought together in one vehicle.
Remote Production and REMI
Remote production, also known as REMI or at-home production, allows parts of a live production to be handled from a central production location instead of keeping every operation at the event site.
Camera and audio feeds can be transported from the event location while commentary, graphics and other production functions can be handled from different locations.
Connectivity and latency are important considerations when designing this type of production workflow.
Inside an OB Production Environment
An OB production system brings the main equipment required for live television production into a mobile facility.
